Dungloe light-welter Matthew McCole advanced to finals night at the National Under-22 Championships.
McCole recorded wins over Padraig Convery and Terry McEntee this weekend to seal a place in the January 25 final.
This evening, the Dungloe ABC man defeated Old School’s Terry McEntee on a unanimous decision to move into the final.
Last night, McCole got past Holy Family, Drogheda puncher Convery, also via a unanimous decision.
In the final, McCole will take on Dublin Docklands’ Pierce O’Leary, who had wins over Michael Avetisian and Shane Flavin.
These Championships will aid the selection process for the European U22s, which will be hosted in Vladikavkaz, Russia between March 7 and 18.
