DONEGAL star Martin McElhinney was playing it cool after St Michael’s scored an impressive win over Four Masters.
Ciaran Gallagher, Daniel McLaughlin and Colm McFadden hit the goals as the Creeslough-Dunfanaghy men recovered from the concession of an early Michael Doherty goal to win well.
Eddie Harkin’s side won 3-12 to 2-5, but McElhinney wasn’t getting carried away.
“There’s no point in racking up big scores now,” he said.
“Come the quarter-finals you could be playing any one of the top sides.
“We got a lucky goal at the start of the second half and that kind of killed Four Masters. We have a lot of improving to do.”
