Mark Anthony McGinley is in the Finn Harps squad for tonight’s Premier Division derby against Sligo Rovers at The Showgrounds.
McGinley actually signed for Harps in February, having been transferred from Ulster Senior League club Fanad United before the close of the League of Ireland’s transfer window.
However, this is his first time in the Harps squad since he put pen to paper for the Ballybofey club.
In March, McGinley withdrew from the Donegal senior football squad.
The Ards native was previously on the books at Harps in 2014. An injury meant that he didn’t make an appearance and he had joined the Donegal senior squad by the time 2015 rolled around.
McGinley was on the Donegal panel from then until he pulled out due to limited game time in March.
McGinley played for UCD in the League of Ireland during his time at Belfield on a soccer scholarship.
Ollie Horgan had McGinley as a goalkeeper during his time as Fanad United’s manager and McGinley was a player at the Traigh-A-Loch club this season.
