MARC WALSH and Connor O’Reilly have been named in the Republic of Ireland Under-16 squad for the forthcoming Victory Shield tournament which takes place in Edinburgh.
Walsh (pictured above), who is from Loughanure, is on the books of Finn Harps having played previously with Gweedore Celtic, while O’Reilly plays for Bonagee United.
The Irish will go into the tournament looking to make their mark against neighbouring opponents Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The tournament provides these players with an opportunity to test themselves on the international stage and continue their progression up the development ladder.
Ireland open their campaign against Wales at Oriam, Edinburgh on Sunday, October 30, kick-off 5pm. Then, on Tuesday, November 1, they face Northern Ireland before rounding off the competition on Friday, November 4, against Scotland.
