MALIN had four points to spare in an all-Inishowen affair at Connolly Park this evening.
Malin 0-12 Naomh Padraig 1-5
Malin emerged victorious against a mighty Muff side who threw all they had against a home side who saw the return of Captain Gary Farren after a gruesome injury which ssw him miss over a year of kicking ball.
A fine display from big Kieran McColgan, Christopher and Paul Fildara sealed the deal for the Connolly men. However, Muff will tonight, rue their missed chances as a mixture of shots sprayed just-wide of Darragh McLaughlin’s posts that could of proved vital.
Sean O’Neill, Christopher Doherty and Josh Conlon sent Malin six ahead before Ronan Hoy hit the back of the malin net through an excellent run from the middle of the park by Jonathan Toye.
A inspiring half time team talked must of been key as Muff came out different men. They gave Malin all they wanted through Muffs Young Guns ; Eunan Mulan and James Breslin.
But Malin’s affluent point scoring in the first half proved too high a mountain for Muff to climb as they ran away winners on a cracking evening in Connolly Park with spirited support from both supporters.
