Malin came away from Ardara at the weekend with a 0-10 each draw and are now only one point behind Four Masters in the All County League.
After the poor start to the season, the team with all the players back can hopefully climb up the table in the coming weeks. The team on the day was Darragh McLaughlin, Gary Farren, Damien Harkin, John Gerard McLaughlin, Paul McLaughlin, Charles Byrne, Michael McLaughlin, Michael Byrne, Anthony Kelly, Seamus Doherty, Matthew Byrne, Christopher McLaughlin, Steven McLaughlin, Terence Doherty and Brendan McLaughlin.
The Reserves game against Ardara was not played but the reserves were in action on Friday night in Carndonagh when they beat the hosts in the final of the Philadelphia Cup by five points.
It was a great weekend for the club as Malin under 12 boys won the Gerry O’Neill A football competition against Naomh Padraig Muff and although the B-team lost their final, it was a great achievement to get both teams this far and the management team of Liam O’Niell, Liam Lafferty, John McLaughlin, Seamus McLaughlin and Eamon Ward deserve great credit as do all the players involved in the panel in what has been a very successful year as they already had won the Go Games finals.
The under 12’s girls also won their C-final against Buncrana. Well done to Managers Maria McLaughlin, Jennifer McLaughlin and Catherine McGilloway for all their work all year with this team and well done to all the girls on the panel.The Under 14’s boys beat Naomh Padraig Muff last Tuesday and now play Milford this Tuesday.
The ladies play Killybegs in the Championship second leg next Sunday, August 2, in Killybegs at 11am
There was no winner of the lotto jackpot of 1900, last weeks 50 euro winner was Neily Collins, Bocan with the 20 euro sellers prize won by Sean Mc Grenaghan.
