MALIN MADE the longest trip in club football a little shorter tonight by winning against Naomh Columba in Glencolmcille.
Naomh Columba 2-10 Malin 3-10
Terence Coulhoun’s team made the 206-mile round trip, taking over two-and-a-half hours each way, to Pairc na nGael and eked out a narrow win to take back to north Inishowen.
Ryan Gillespie and Paddy Byrne netted goals within two minutes of each other on 22 and 24 minutes and the Glenmen were 2-4 to 0-5 in front at the break.

Brendan McLaughlin netted in the 35th minute and repeated the trick two minutes later.
Eight minutes from the end, Ciaran McColgan fired in a third Malin goal and they held on despite Conor Farren picking up a second yellow card in added time.
