UCD MOVED three points clear of Finn Harps last night with a home win over Bohemians.
Yoyo Mahdy’s superb early goal saw the Students – with Jack Keaney from Donegal Town in their side – record a 1-0 win against the Gypsies.
UCD have now overhauled a four-point deficit on Harps to go three points in front, having drawn 0-0 at Derry City on Friday night.
UCD had lost 11 games on the spin before defeating Harps and Collie O’Neill’s team are now unbeaten in three.
Their goal last night arrived in the early stages when Mahdy forced an error from James Finnerty, the Bohemians defender. Mahdy’s wonder strike, off his right foot, flew to the top corner.
