Magees advance to second round of Swiss Open

Chloe and Sam Magee have advanced to the second round of the mixed doubles at the Swiss Open.

The Raphoe siblings are in action in Basel in Switzerland and this morning defeated La Ching Yao and Ciang Kai Hsin of Chinese Taipei.

The Magees won the first set 22-20, lost the second 19-21, but stormed back to win the third 21-16 to move into the last 16 after a match that lasted 67 minutes.

Brothers Joshua and Sam Magee play their men’s doubles first round match later tonight as they take on the fourth seeds, Marcus Ellis and Chris Langridge from England.
