CHLOE AND SAM MAGEE are into the quarter-finals at the European Badminton Championships in France.
Earlier this afternoon, the Raphoe siblings defeated German pair Mark Lamsfuss and Isabel Herttrich.
The Magees won a pulsating contest, one that lasted a sapping 62 minutes, 21-19, 14-21, 24-22.
After losing the second set and having been pushed all the way in the final set, the Magees showed real bottle to advance to the last eight.
In their quarter-final, they will meet the eighth seeds, Niclas Nohr and Sara Thygesen from Denmark.
[adrotate group=”35″]On Tuesday, the Magees struck gold when they overcame the fancied Polish duo and fourth seeds, Robert Mateusiak and Nadiezda Zieba, 21-18, 13-21, 21-18.
This evening, Chloe Magee is back in action in the women’s singles. She faces third seed and world number 27 Line Kjaersfeldt from Denmark, with a place in the quarter-finals the reward for the victor.
