SAIDHBH GREENE, a student at Letterkenny Institute of Technology, captured her 11th Irish title tonight.
In the 60kgs final of the National Senior Championships, Greene comfortably defeated Carrickmacross’ Ciara Dowling.
Greene was in control for the four rounds of the final and took the win on a unanimous decision.
The three judges all scored the bout well in Greene’s favour and she took a 40-36, 39-37, 39-37 win.
Greene boxes out of Liam Brereton’s St Bridget’s club in Edenderry having previously turned out for Ballinacarrow in Sligo.
A student at LyIT, Greene trains at Twin Towns ABC in Ballybofey during the week.
The 19-year old had won ten previous Irish titles and had her arm raised at the National Stadium for the 11th time tonight in an Irish final.
