Long journey means an overnight stay for Finn Harps Under-19s

FINN HARPS HAVE BEEN handed a nightmare away tie against Cork City in the quarter-finals of the SSE Airtricity Under-19 League.

With the game pencilled in for this Saturday, November 28^th, at 2pm in Bishopstown, it means that Joe Boyle’s Harps will require an overnight stay on Friday night.

The Harps squad will make the trip to Leeside on Friday and stay the night in Cork before playing on Saturday.

Harps were denied a home draw in the quarter-finals after a 3-0 loss to Sligo Rovers saw the Bit O’Red beat them to top spot in section 3.

Stephen Berminghan’s Cork topped their section and are one of the fancied sides at this grade, giving Harps a daunting trek on all fronts.

The winner of the Cork-Harps game will meet the victor of the match between UCD and Shamrock Rovers in the semi-final.
