Finn Harps host Sligo Rovers in the EA Sports Cup this evening at Finn Park – and we’ll have all the action here as it happens:
115 – GOAL for Sligo. Stevens stabs home from close range from a Kearns cross.0-1
114 – Gallagher claws away a looping header from Stevens. 0-0
111 – Harps have a goal chalked off as McNulty heads home from a Doherty corner. Referee has already blown for a free out.
106 – Gareth Doherty shoots over with a decent opening by Harps. 0-0
25 minutes of added time to be played here. Ambulances here for Garry Doherty and Packie Mailey. Ollie Horgan was visibly upset as he returned to the dugout
Ciaran Gallagher is going to come in for Doherty. Harps will play with 10 men as Packie Mailey is aided into the clubhouse.
70 – Harry Doherty and Packie Mailey down receiving treatment after a wild clash of heads. Chris Kenny also down. Ollie Horgan on along with Colm O’Neill to check on the players, who are in some distress. 0-0
65 – Doherty lets a cross slip away and Stevens should have scored, but his shot goes out for a corner. 0-0
61 – Chris Kenny heads wide from a Tobi Adebyabo-Rowling cross. 0-0
52 – McGlynn gets on the end of a long ball, but his header is easy for Patton 0-0
The second half is underway here
HT Finn Harps 0 Sligo Rovers 0
A game of rock, paper, scissors at HT would surely suffice to see who goes into the quarter-finals…Lifeless enough game here. 0-0
29 – Big chance for Harps as McGlynn breaks through, but fires wide. 0-0
28 – Kealan McDermott comes on for Banda. 0-0
27 – Big worry for Harps as BJ Banda is down off the pitch and a stretcher has been called. 0-0
25 – Thomas McMonagle makes a brave block to keep out a John Mahon shot after Daniel Kearns’ cross is headed down by Keaney. 0-0
19 – Simon McGlynn shoots into the arms of Patton. 0-0
17 – Not much in the way of updates but, then again, there isn’t much in the way of action so far. 0-0
8 – Good break by Simon McGlynn on the right, but the Raphoe man’s cross is a little too deep for Banda. 0-0
We’re underway at Finn Park here. Only around 400 people in attendance. Cup fever has not taken hold, it seems.
Dylan McCroary makes his Harps debut tonight while Gareth Doherty makes his first senior start.
Harps have made eight changes from the team that started on Friday night in the 2-0 win over Derry City with Damien McNulty, Ethan Boyle and Ciaran Coll the only three to retain their spot in the XI.
Donegal men Shaun Patton, Kyle McFadden and Jack Keaney all start for Sligo, who are under the temporary charge of ex-Harps man and Donegal native Declan McIntyre.
