THE LAUNCH OF THE 2016 Joule Donegal International Rally will be held this evening at the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny – and Donegal Sport Hub will have all the action as it happens.
In association with the Donegal Motor Club, Donegal Sport is providing live audio and video streaming of the launch, ahead of our coverage of the rally itself across the three days from June 17-19.
Donegal Sport Hub’s Charlie Collins will be the master of ceremonies for this evening’s launch, which will be attended by a number of top competitors, as well as organisers, sponsors and motorsport enthusiasts.
Some 153 crews have packed the entry list for the event, which remains as strong as ever in its place as the only three-day rally in the Irish Tarmac Championship.
The entry list is headed by the defending champions, Garry Jennings and Rory Kennedy, who are back bidding to retain the crown, while there is a reserve list of 22 crews, as if to serve as a measure of the event’s popularity.
