Willie Gillespie says Naomh Colmcille must build on their memorable sojourn to the All-Ireland JFC semi-finals.
The Donegal and Ulster junior champions will have little time to rest now before another campaign gets underway.
“It’s brilliant,” To think we’re still playing football in January. We’ll take a couple of weeks off, recharge the batteries and hopefully get going again.”
With the likes of Mark Friel and PJ McBrearty ready to step into the senior ranks, the future looks bright.
But the disappointment of yesterday’s loss could take time to settle.
Gillespie said: “We didn’t turn up today at all. We were a completely different side. Knocknagree started fast and never let us into the game.
“They slowly just went away, kept control of the ball and showed the quality they have.”
