Donegal Under-21 hurling manager Tom Hennessy hailed his men after their third All-Ireland āCā final win in a row.
A late rally saw Donegal go clear of Sligo for a 1-14 to 0-12 win at Markievicz Park to retain the Andrew OāNeill Cup. A first-half goal by Oisin Rooney was the big score in a game that was in the melting pot right down the home straight.
āA three-in-a-row at any grade is very hard to do,ā Hennessy said.

āSome of those lads now have three All-Ireland medals and that can never be taken away from them. Iām very proud of them.
āWe were always confident in our squad and the lads that came on made a huge difference. Iām delighted for them.ā
Donegal subs Kevin Kealy (2) and Ben Doherty scored three points late in the game and made a telling impact.
Hennessy said: āI always preach that it isnāt a 15 or 20 man game. A couple of the guys who turned the game are just kids, only 18 years of age. They are a hugely talented bunch who love representing Donegal.ā
