Inishowen League goal hero Terence Doherty has spoken of his delight at helping his side to a third Oscar Traynor Trophy final.
Inishowen reached the final in 2013 and 2015 – winning it in ’15 at Maginn Park, Buncrana – and they’re back into another home final after a dramatic win over Limerick on Sunday.
Inishowen prevailed 4-3 on penalties, after Glengad striker Doherty netted a last-ditch equaliser.
“I had a bad miss in the second half and thank God I redeemed it for the team,” Doherty said.
“It’s a great feeling. We did it the hard way.
“Time looked to have run out. It was down to the wire. Everything seemed to be going against us.”
