Buncrana Hearts ended their trophy famine on Sunday with a penalty shoot-out win over Greencastle in the Buncrana Credit Union Cup final – and Stephen Parkhouse wants the club to return to the glory days.
The Hearts scored a shoot-out win after a 1-1 draw at Maginn Park to capture silverware for Parkhouse in his first season in charge.
“One trophy in 20 years, for the biggest club in Inishowen, isn’t good enough,” Parkhouse said.
“It’s all about lifting the Cup.
“All’s well that ends well. We have changed the mentality here at senior level. If you do well, you stay in. If you don’t train, you’re out.”
