Stephen Friel admitted that he felt ‘rotten’ after Sean MacCumhaills lost out to Termon today, but he was content with his side’s display.
Former Donegal minor manager Friel is back in club management again having taken on the MacCumhaills post.
“They all gave a wholehearted effort,” he said.
“I couldn’t fault them for effort and I said that in the dressing room. If they keep doing that the points will follow.
“We gave ourselves a mountain to climb, but Stephen Mulligan took his goal well. We couldn’t manage to get ahead. Termon had a bit of extra guile in the end.”
