SHAUN Paul Barrett insists that he believes his Donegal Under-20s can collect the Ulster title on Saturday.
Donegal face Tyrone at St Tiernach’s Park, Clones in the final (throw-in 3pm) and Barrett says his men will be primed for the test.
“There is a lot of resolve and a lot of heart in those boys,” Barrett told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“We have a lot of work done and a lot of fitness. We have great players who have put in big work and we have a lot of belief in them.
“Tyrone are a big physically strong team. They’re well conditioned and there is a lot of work going on in Tyrone. This is the team that won the Under-17 All-Ireland. It’ll be a big challenge, but we have nothing to fear.”
While injury has deprived Barrett of the likes of Oisin Gallen and Conor O’Donnell, the Milford native has seen enough from his squad in recent weeks. A penalty shoot-out win over Monaghan was followed by Saturday’s narrow semi-final win over Down at The Loup.
Barrett said: “We have a big panel of 33 or 34 and anyone can come in and make a difference.
“Some players came in the last day and stood up. We have belief in this squad.”
