Sean Paul Barrett, the Donegal minor manager, was happy with how his team responded from a torrid first half against Derry today.
Donegal even drew level late on, but Derry won 0-21 to 2-13.
“We were very disappointed in the first half,” Barrett said.
“Outside of Aaron Doherty, we didn’t play well in the first half. We made some changes at half-time and we got to grips to things in the second half.
“We came back to level the game and we were beaten by a point. We showed great heart and belief in the second half.
“We have learned an awful lot about this group. It’s been a learning curve all the way.”
