Ryan McKinley says 2017 is in the past as he looks to get Naomh Colmcille out of Division 4 in the All-County League.
A 1-14 to 1-8 win – their third victory on the trot – over Letterkenny Gaels sees Naomh Colmcille in third in the table.
It comes after a hectic 2017 when Naomh Colmcille won Donegal and Ulster Junior Championships and reach and All-Ireland semi-final.
McKinley’s hand has shuffled considerably since those days.
“If you look from last year, we’re down six key players,” he said.
“Take six players out of any team they’ll get it tight. I have nothing but praise for the young lads. Their work rate and character is fantastic.
“They’re well capable. Once they put on the shirt they want to play. They’re great and they never stopped.”
