Raphoe gave their survival hopes a real shot in the arm with a big home win – but coach Rodney Bates says there is still room for improvement.
Raphoe recorded an 8-1 win over Antrim, which included hat-tricks for Tommy Orr and Keith Meehan.
“We’re in now to a five-game series in a relegation battle, so that’s a great start,” Bates told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“We just had to get the job done and it’s very satisfying to get the result. We just need to avoid the bottom two.
“The signs are good, but we have to up the performance a lot.
“The key thing was that we didn’t drop too low.”
