NEIL GALLAGHER says Glenswilly were ‘relieved’ to come away from Glenfin with a draw yesterday afternoon.
Glenswilly, beaten semi-finalists last year, came from five points down, to earn a draw at their derby rivals.
“We were lucky,” Gallagher told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub after the game.
“We didn’t deserve a draw. Glenfin were the better team for the whole game.
“We’re relieved to get a draw. We were second fiddle. Glenfin didn’t let us get going. We’re relieved to get something out of it. If you lose the first game, you’re under pressure.”
Glenswilly take on Four Masters next weekend with Glenfin facing Milford.
Gallagher said: “It’s all to play for yet. We’ll try to improve this week because we have a lot of improving to do.”
