Paddy McDaid has backed Daire McDaid to ‘go another level’ after his performance helped Termon secure victory over Milford in the Senior Relegation Play-Off on Saturday afternoon.
The 23-year-old, who has captained Termon for the previous three years, was highly influential in the four-point game, with McDaid’s side running out 2-14 to 1-13 winners.
Termon could’ve found themselves a completely different scenario this weekend if they could have managed to stop a second-half revival from Four Masters last Saturday.
But McDaid insisted he was happy with his players after they gave ‘more than one hundred per cent at times’ during today’s game.
“I think we seen both sides (of Termon out there today), but they couldn’t be faulted for effort,” he said.
“Maybe we don’t have the players to win a Senior Championship but we want to be in competing and you can only ask the boys to give one hundred per cent and they gave one-hundred and maybe more there at times.”
