Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan insists the mood in his camp remains upbeat, in spite of a winless start to their Premier Division campaign.
Harps host second-placed Bohemians on Friday night in Ballybofey (kick-off 8pm) hoping for a first League win of the season.
Harps are five points adrift at the bottom with only two points from their first ten games.
We have done well at home … We’ve fought tooth and nail,” Horgan told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“They’re a good bunch. They’re hard working. Of course, they’re disappointed. Please God, we won’t be disappointed this week.
“They came in on Monday and they were very positive. They need to be strong mentally and physically. We need something to fall for us. If we can turn it, we have a chance.”
Red cards to Mark Coyle and Colm Deasy in the last two League games, against Waterford United and Derry City, worked against Harps, who had been in those matches until the red cards helped turn the tides in favour of their opponents.
“There seems to be a different red flag every week,” Horgan said. “There are mistakes there, whether it’s a sending off, mistakes for a goal, for a corner kick.”
