Ollie Horgan says Finn Harps will take confidence from their recent two matches – but has warned that Sligo Rovers will have more loftier ambitions for their season.
The Bit O’Red, now under the watch of Liam Buckley, are in Finn Park tonight to face Harps who took a point off Dundalk and St Patrick’s Athletic in their last two outings.
“We’ve picked two points up – that’s the height of what we’ve done,” Horgan told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“The target is to accumulate enough points to get the play-off spot. We should have taken a bit of confidence out of the last two games.
“It’s going to be relentless what we’re at.”
Sligo have the likes of Jack Keaney, Kyle McFadden, Johnny Dunleavy and Ed McGinty from Donegal in their ranks and Horgan believes the Yeats County side are capable of finishing on the upper rungs of the table./
The Harps boss said: “Sligo have been very unlucky. They’re in very much the same run of form.
“Sligo would have their sights set on being well up that table. Sligo have come in a little under the radar. They have added serious quality. They’re good athletes and good footballers.”
