Jason Gibson says he had ‘no hesitation’ in taking on the Bonagee United job – and hopes he can guide the Dry Arch club to success.
Gibson was named as successor to Tony O’Carroll in the summer.
The former Lagan Harps and Swilly Rovers manager has started the new term off well, as wins over Swilly and Fanad United have sealed a League Cup semi-final berth.
Bonagee begin their Four Lanterns Ulster Senior League season at home to Finn Harps Reserves tomorrow evening.
“I think we have established a good enough squad there,” Gibson says.
“You always want to win. We have to be realistic and say that Letterkenny and Cockhill will be hard nuts to crack.
“Pre-season was good and we have a lot of bodies in, but we don’t really know where we’re at yet. The first two games will give us an indication of where we’re at.”
