Neil Toye had nothing but admiration for his young Naomh Padraig side after last night’s minor final loss to St Eunan’s.
St Eunan’s took the prize after a 3-14 to 1-8 win, spurred by a blistering first half.
For Naomh Padraig, it was a huge step into their first final at this level.
“I have to give our boys credit,” Toye said.
“They kept going. A lot of teams would have thrown in the towel.
“I have to take my hat off to St Eunan’s. We knew what they were like. They were the better team. They’re laced with county players and that’s a credit to them.”
