Neil Gordon was the picture of frustration after St Eunan’s College let slip a big chance to win the MacLarnon Cup this afternoon.
A draw with Holy Trinity, Cookstown in Armagh means they have a chance to make amends, but for all their dominance in possession, St Eunan’s couldn’t put Holy Trinity to the sword.
“We’re terribly disappointed that we didn’t play as well as we can,” Gordon said.
“We made wrong decisions all over the field and they did exactly what we told them not to do.
“We just didn’t do what we were supposed to. We weren’t good enough for the possession that we had.
“They didn’t perform to the level they could have. They did in flashes, but it wasn’t consistent. We didn’t get out of second gear at all.”
