Jason Gibson was both encouraged and frustrated after his Bonagee United overcame Swilly Rovers 5-3 last night.
The new Bonagee manager saw his side roar from the traps at the start of the second half to lead 4-1, before Swilly hit back to force them back on their heels.
“Frustrating would be my initial feeling,” Gibson said.
“You have to give credit to Swilly and Tony, who has a few of the lads back in there. They battled hard and we were lucky to go in at one-each at half-time.
“The second-half, we came out and it looked dead at 4-1, but we let them into the game again. We’ll take the positives.
“I feel there’s goals in the team. We scored five tonight and it’s evident that there is. We can’t keep conceding three goals there.”
