MICKEY RODGERS believes his Convoy Arsenal side are well primed to make a return to the Donegal League Premier Division.
Friday night’s 4-0 win over Drumoghill FC at Orchard Park maintains their promotion push.
Four second-half goals sealed an eventually-comfortable win.
“I think if we keep that squad together we have a realistic chance,” Rodgers told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“The players have to drive it. It’s up to them if they want to win or not.
“We have a big squad, Everyone is happy when you’re winning. The boys are training hard and at least we’re in contention.”
Friday saw Ryan McConnell bag a goal of the season contender with the ex-Manchester United youth marking his first Convoy appearance in style.
Rodgers said: “He has a bit of quality. We’re lucky to get him. He’s going away with the army, but hopefully we’ll have him for a few games.”
