Michael Funston said experience was key as Finn Harps defeated Derry City at Maginn Park last night.
The Bonagee man came off the bench to score Harps’ second goal in the 2-0 win.

His 32nd Harps goal mightn’t have been the best goal he’ll score, but the 400-or-so Harps followers who got their mitts on a prize ticket weren’t bothered as the toasted a big night in Buncrana.
“Anytime you win a derby, it’s something to savour,” Funston said after clinching a win that had been teed up by BJ Banda’s opener.

We rode our luck in the first half. We huffed and puffed a wee bit, but we got a bit of luck and goals change games.
“We have a lot of experience in there and we can see games out. It was a good, solid performance.”
