MICHEÁL Martin, the St Eunan’s reserve manager, says today’s final win over Kilcar was ‘the toughest game that we had all year’.
St Eunan’s retained their Donegal Senior B title thanks to a 0-11 to 0-7 win in Ballybofey.
St Eunan’s wriggled free, but didn’t have it all their own way as Kilcar stayed right in the game.
“That was the toughest game that we had all year,” Martin told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“We went in as heavy favourites and it’s hard to avoid that talk. You have to give Kilcar a lot of credit for the way they fought to the bitter end.
“The boys ground it out well.”
