Kevin Campbell knows his history and wants to etch the names of the class of now in the Setanta annals.
A blistering start to the second half that included a Colm Melaugh goal was to thank as Setanta clinched the Munster Cup for the first time since 2008.
“I can’t put into words what it means,” Setanta skipper Campbell – pictured by Joe Boland, North West News Pix – said.
“We lost a couple of players, but we’ve had a team building for a few years now. We talk and want to build our own legacy.
“You see men like Terence McDaid and Anthony McDaid down there. We always look back at men like that. Now, it’ll be Richie Kee, Brendan Tourish and Mark Callaghan, boys now the young boys are looking up to.”
