FINN Harps goalkeeper Anthony McGinley is aiming to recapture his excellent form from last season.
McGinley (pictured by Joe Boland, North West Newspix) kept nine clean sheets in 19 games as Harps preserved their Premier Division status.
The Ards man is back on board for 2020 and hopes to hit the ground running.
“I only came in half-way through the season, but it probably couldn’t have gone much better,” he told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“That’s gone, it’s in the past and a new season is on the horizon. It’s about consistency and trying to carry last season’s form into this season and getting as many clean sheets as possible.”
Harps manager Ollie Horgan noted this week how 11 players from last season had departed his ranks with five newcomers, so far, brought in.
McGinley said: “We had a lot of quality come in. Hopefully we can hit the ground running.
“You do have a core that was there last year. It’s about bedding the new lads as quickly as we can.
“That’s what pre-season is all about and hopefully we can keep building towards the Sligo game. We want to make a good start.”
