Jason Gibson says he is encouraged by how his Bonagee United side have started the new Ulster Senior League campaign.
Last night, Darren McFadden’s header late in the first half secured a 1-0 win over Derry City that takes Bonagee on to three wins from three games.
“It’s good to get over the line again,” Gibson told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“We were holding on a wee bit. We were a bit stretched there on a heavy night. It’s good to hold on. We showed good character and that was a different battle there.
“Derry had a lot of the ball, but we had the better of the chances. We could have had a second if we had been more clinical.
“Derry stuck us late on last year, but we’re winning those games now, which is encouraging.”
