Eddie Dsane outlined his desire for more goals during the week – and the Finn Harps attacker lived up to it with a fabulous strike against Bohemians last night.
Dsane – pictured by Joe Boland, North West Newspix – netted a brilliant equaliser, to scratch out Dinny Corcoran’s goal five minutes previously for Bohs, in a game Harps won 2-1 thanks to Sean Houston’s second-half winner.
Dsane had opened his Harps account with a cracking free-kick last week against Drogheda United and the Londoner followed it up with last night’s stunner. Dsane took control on his chest before riffling past Shane Supple.
“I thought: ‘Just let me hit it’ and I didn’t want to take another touch because they would’ve closed down the angles,” Dsane said.
“I just let it go and luckily it went in. We aren’t too far behind Bohs so hopefully we can kick on from here.
“It was good to get back in the game.”
Dsane, who played for Longford Town last season, was replaced by new signing Ibrahim Keita in the closing stages and said: “We showed great resilience to get the win. We knew that we’d be in a battle, but we’re fighting and hopefully we can stay up.”
