New Termon manager Hugh Harkin hopes that Donegal boss Rory Gallagher might turn his head towards the Burn Road in the coming weeks.
Termon’s young guns scored a useful 2-9 to 1-11 win over Sean MacCumhaills yesterday in their Division 2 opener.
Termon had to work hard for victory in a game that they led by seven points at one stage with goals by Daire McDaid and Ricky Gallagher.

Harkin said: “That’s a massive result. The boys showed huge character in the second half. The young lads did really well and it’s a good day at the office.
“The boys did well. If we had been more clinical we’d have got more scores there.”
On his young players, Harkin has no doubts about their capabilities in a team that has lost Paddy McDaid and Austin Marron from 2016.
He said: “Daire is clinical. The likes of himself, Ricky Gallagher, Aiden Sweeney, we see them as serious footballers and hopefully Rory Gallagher would be looking at them in some time in the future.
“We have a gap from Kevin McDaid and Steve McElwaine down to Daire and the boys. We have to be careful too. Their attitude in fairness is top class.”
