GARY Duffy believes the Donegal Under-20s can go to ‘the next level’.
After wins over Armagh and Tyrone, Donegal face Monaghan in Friday evening’s Ulster semi-final at Brewster Park
“Hopefully we can get another big performance,” Duffy told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“We needed a workman performance to get over Tyrone and we’ll need that again.
“Character will always come out in tight battles and thankfully we came out on the right side of it.”
Donegal were impressive in a 1-17 to 0-9 preliminary round win over Armagh.
A late Daithi Roberts save proved priceless last Friday at Healy Park, where Donegal toppled Tyrone 1-12 to 1-9.
Duffy said: “They’re hungry and they want to go to the next level. They aspire to win and they feel they have a good chance to make it. We’re going in the right direction in Donegal. The boys want to work hard to be better.”
