Eoin McHugh is ‘buzzing’ at the prospect of facing Slaughtneil in Saturday evening’s Ulster Club SFC semi-final in Omagh.
The Kilcar ace scored his side’s goal in the quarter-final win over Scotstown at Clones.
Kilcar might be littered with the inter-county experience of the McHughs, McBreartys and Michael Hegarty, but the Towney men are novices at provincial level.
“We’ll go in as confident as we can. As a player, it’s nice to be in against Slaughtneil and I’m buzzing,” McHugh said.
“After the county final, it was bonus territory. None of us have ever stepped into the Ulster club. The last day gave us a boost and we proved we were capable of playing with the top teams. We’ll give it our all and give it our best shot.”
