FORMER Donegal player Eamon McGee says Donegal can’t take anything for granted going into Sunday’s Ulster final.
Donegal are in their ninth final in ten years and are gunning for a third successive provincial title.
However, McGee says that Donegal can heed the lessons of 2013, when a three-in-a-row chasing Donegal were thwarted by Monaghan.
“They’re not easy to win” McGee told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“If you go back to 2013 and we were going for a three-in-a-row. Monaghan made short work of us in the final.
“You need to be on your game for an Ulster final. You can’t show the chink, you can’t show the weakness. Teams will expose that. Teams got soft and thought they beat Cavan – and Cavan turned around to beat them.”
