Darren McFadden says Bonagee United have to keep their focus on themselves as the Dry Arch men aim to stay in the hunt for Ulster Senior League honours.
“We’re just going to play our own game and keep chipping away,” McFadden said.
We should be a lot closer. We can’t do much about the other teams. We just have to keep winning ourselves.”
McFadden is one of the new faces recruited by Bonagee boss Jason Gibson and the Derry native is glad he made the move into the USL.
He said: “I’m enjoying my football at the minute. It’ll brilliant here. The boys have really helped me settle in. Jason has changed a good few things since he’s come in.
“Playing in that team you’ll always get chances. Even missing Micheál Doherty, we still scored six.”
