Danny Doogan said winning yesterday’s Brian McCormick Cup final was the ‘icing on the cake’ for Keadue Rovers.
Cory Gallagher and Adam Neely struck gold as Keadue overcame Milford United, who led via Kyle Black, at The Diamond Park.
Keadue were newly-promoted in the Premier Division this season and have capped off a fine term back in the top flight with some silverware.
“It’s a dream season,” manager Doogan told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub afterwards.
“Our plan was to stay in the Division and get as high as we could. This is the icing on the cake. The lads deserve this.
“We know how competitive it is in Donegal. We see how good some of the teams are, but we’ve competed and given them a game. We’re delighted. It’s massive to win silverware at the end of the year.”
