Michael Murphy had a hectic start to his managerial career as his Letterkenny Institute of Technology side recorded a 32-point win over Coleraine.
“It was a bit of a hectic start,” Murphy said.
“A lot of players are only back from clubs. We’re happy to get out and get the win under the belt.
“We’ll just keep chipping away. We’re away to Dundalk, who are in the Sigerson, next week and that’ll be a massive challenge.”
Murphy has been playing at the top level for club, county and for college, when he was at DCU, but management is a new departure for the Glenswilly man.
He said: “It’s something different. It’s the foot in the other shoe. The game was nerve-wrecking in the first half, but we pulled away a bit in the second half.”
