TREVOR ALCORN insists he had ‘every faith’ jn his Termon charges last night as they staged a remarkable second-half comeback to land the county minor title.
Termon came from six points down in the final quarter to prise the title from Gaoth Dobhair’s grasp.
“It was a super, unbelievable game,” Termon manager Alcorn told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub afterwards.
“I think we thoroughly deserved it. I had every faith in these boys.”
Gaoth Dobhair raced into command with a pair of early goals and Alcorn said: “The two goals were blows. We couldn’t believe those blows, but our boys stood up. We knew there was only four in it at half-time.
“We set our sights on Division 1 ‘A’. We didn’t set our sights on anything else. The improvement on these boys from two years ago – we were so far off them.”
