Gaeil Fhánada manager Aidan McAteer says fresh legs were vital as they overcame hosts Downings to win the Donegal Junior Gaeltacht crown – and their eyes are now on the big prize.
“We wanted to win the county Gaeltacht and the All-Ireland Gaeltacht – and that’s the first box ticked,” McAteer said.
“This will be good for our momentum. We rallied at half-time and I was happy with the second half.
“The legs took us over the line. We had five minors on the field at the end of the game. It was tough with two matches in two days. We tried to save some of them and we knew we had the young fellas to come on.”
