THE Irish 4x100m relay team’s performance to win silver at this year’s European Masters Championships has been confirmed as a new Irish record.
The Irish team – including Kathryn McDevitt from Letterkenny AC – took the slyer in Venice in September.
McDevitt, alongside Leanne Wellings, Annette Durkan and Sinead O’Regan were second in the W35 final.
Their time of 52.07 seconds now goes into the record books having been verified as a new Irish best.
