Pitches are being marked out and nets being hung up which can only mean one thing and that is the start of a brand new season.
The club has been a hive of activity this week as final preparations are being put to a number of sides for what we hope will be an entertaining and successful campaign for all our teams.
A big welcome goes out to alot of new players who  have joined our club this season and we would also like to welcome new team managers Andrew Cassidy, TK McFeeley and David Donnelly and their backroom staff  who take charge of our u12s, u14s first division and u16s sides respectively while we have a number of new coaches at under 8 and under 10 level which is to be welcomed.
However we can always do with more volunteers so if you are a budding coach or a parent who might want to contribute then feel free by getting in touch with the club.
Action this Saturday sees the schoolboys leagues get up and running and quite remarkably we have four sides all at home with double headers at Leckview Park and the Aura.
Our u12s play Dunfanaghy Youths  at Leckview and that will be followed by our u14 Rovers side who play Gweedore United at 1115am.
Our Crusaders u14s play Keadue at the Aura at 1115am before the u16s take on Ballyraine at 1230pm.
Sunday sees our senior side travel to play Derry City Reserves in the USL League Cup. That match will take place at the Brandywell at 2pm while our u19s begin their League of Ireland campaign on Tuesday night next ( Sept 1st) with an away game at Finn Harps with a 730pm kick off.
We wish Eamonn McConigley and Anthony Gorman and both squads the best of luck in the year ahead.
Another milestone for former player Dale Gorman last weekend when he made his first competitive start for Stevenage in their 2-0 win over Hartlepool in League 2.
Hopefully there will be more of the same to follow.
Tickets are on sale for our annual fundraising draw in conjunction with the FAI.. Over 2000 prizes in total and all monies raised by the club go to helping fund almost 250 players at all levels from u8s upwards.
Your support would be greatly appreciated and tickets are available from any club member.
