LETTERKENNY ROVERS LAST night learned their semi-final opponents in the FAI Intermediate Cup semi-final.
Ringmahon Rovers of Cork overcame Leinster Senior League side Firhouse Clover 3-1 in their quarter-final replay. They will welcome Eamon McConigley’s side on the weekend of April 3.
It’s only the second time ever the Leckview Park team have reached the last four of the competition. In 2004 under the management of Danny McConnell, Rovers lost 1-0 in Cork in a replay against Rockmount FC having drawn the initial tie 0-0 at Triaghaloch.
Meanwhile, the draw for the First Round of the Irish Daily Mail FAI Senior Cup will take place on Monday at 5pm in FAI Headquaters, Abbotstown. Seeing as they got to the last 16 of the Intermediate Cup, Rovers will be in that draw. They could be joined by Glengad United from the Inishowen League, should they overcome Pike Rovers in the FAI Junior Cup this afternoon in Limerick.
The draw will be streamed live by FAI TV on wwwfai.ie
